Holy Week Cofrade Visit

Gran Meliá Colón has designed for his guests an unique experience to discover the best cofrades, in the biggest event that takes place in Seville, in Easter. A guided tour of the cofradías, where the locals cofrades will explain the procedure, the feeling behind each piece and the ritual. Also a lunch on the private terrace of the Cabildo, one of the most traditional restaurants in Seville.

The visit starts at10:00 a.m. with a carriage horses that will pick you up at the hotel. Once in the carriage, an expert cofrade will be the guide in order to make the visit more detailed and exclusive.

During the tour, you will first visit the Basilica of  La Macarena, the Basilica of El Gran Poder and the Chapel of Esperanza de Triana. After that, a break to have lunch in the private terrace of El Cabildo, one of the most famous restaurants in Seville.

After the lunch, the visit in the carriage will continue to discover the Cathedral of Seville, catalogued as the biggest Gothic one in the world and one of the principal Christian temples. A tour focused on the origin, legends, history.

Before the tour ends, you will visit a workshop of imagery where it will be possible to discover how the figures of the Holy Week are manufactured.

At the end of the route, the carriage will bring you back to the hotel.
